ONE WEEK LEFT FOR SUBMISSIONS TO 12TH RUSHES SOHO SHORTS FESTIVAL

The competition submission deadline is Wednesday 21st April 2009.

To date the festival has seen interest from 1, 404 cities in 103 countries* with just over half the entries being submitted to the festival coming from the UK and the rest from almost 40 countries across the world.

Joe Bateman, Festival Director, comments "considering the content submitted to date the narrative skills, production values and overall quality of entries is even higher than previous years. We had a great year last year and it seems filmmakers have used every ounce of creativity and every resource at their fingertips to take their work even further. We're slowly working our way through the short listing. It's going to be a very difficult and painful experience making the final selections but we love it!"

The festival continues to celebrate the previous year's best director in the competitive categories: Short Film, Animation, Documentary, Music Video, Newcomer, Broadcast Design, Long Form and International.

Experimental work can be submitted into consideration for a festival showcase programme with Tenderpixel Art Gallery up until 1st May via the entries website.

RSSF 2010 also includes a competition to design the front cover of the festival magazine, 16 additional film programmes highlighting work from Ireland, Denmark, USA, Germany, UK and Australia along with over 40 events at BAFTA, Applestore, Soho Film Lab, ICA and venues across London.
