BTV & VET - DELIVERING THE SKILLS FOR THE 3D FUTURE.

Training provider VET and 3D production specialists BTV post (the new name for Brighton TV) have formed a partnership to provide training to quickly address the current shortage of stereoscopic 3D awareness and skills in the UK.

BTV are at the forefront of 3D content creation and have been developing both the technical and creative skills required over the last 18 months and are now keen to share their knowledge with broadcast professionals. Susan Tunstall (BTV business development manager) said "The technical developments in this area are moving forward incredibly quickly and we urgently need to get the industries skill set up to speed, this will enable the UK to lead the world in 3D content creation".

VET's  business development manager Terry Smith said "Our goal for 2010 had always been to significantly contribute to building the 3D workforce in the UK and it's great to be doing this with a company that shares this vision and commitment".

The new partnership will kick off with a series of sessions aimed at people who need to have an understanding of the impact on production budgets, of post production workflow and breaking through the jargon. This will quickly be followed by specific training courses covering editing, camera and file management. The first of the overview course is scheduled to run on April 23rd at the VET facility in Shoreditch.
