PRIME FOCUS COMPLETES POST FOR SECOND SERIES OF GROW YOUR OWN DRUGS
Ethno botanist James Wong returns with a second series of Silver River's hugely successful Grow Your Own Drugs.

The six-part series begins on BBC Two at 8.30pm on Tuesday 23 March, has been post produced at Prime Focus.
Having shown us how to unlock the medicinal power of plants, James is back to unleash their full potential and create a range of products that can have benefits for your health and your home. The series is packed full of fascinating historical and scientific insights in to the way plants work and the forgotten knowledge of how to use them. The six episodes cover garden herbs, incredible edibles, exotics, petals, trees and shrubs, and wild.
Colourist Graeme Hayes graded the series and commented: "The second series follows on from the style of the first that we did last year with a glossy magazine look. The footage had been shot really well, so my main job was to add some saturation and put a little vignette around the outside to draw your eye into the middle of the shot. For the shots where James is outside finding these plants, I added a contrasting and saturated look to get the most of the flowers and natural scenery. Then when he's back in the kitchen creating the remedies with these plants, it becomes more oversaturated with peaked clipped whites and heavy blacks to make it appear glossier."
The online work was completed by Clive Mattock and the audio work was done by Kevin Boyle. Prime Focus previously post produced the first series and the Christmas special for Silver River Productions.
