GOLDCREST CAS SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT NOMINEES

Goldcrest re-recording Mixers Jamie Roden and Mark Paterson have been nominated for the Cinema Audio Society Special Achievement Award in Los Angeles.

The nomination is in the Television Movies and Mini Series Category for their work on the film Endgame. Directed by Pete Travis (Omagh, Vantage Point, Henry VIII, The Jury), and broadcast in the UK on Channel 4.  The feature-length drama about the end of apartheid, inspired by the extraordinary secret talks that took place in England at a time when civil war in South Africa seemed inevitable, stars Derek Jacobi, Jonny Lee Miller, William Hurt who was nominated for the Satellite Award under the category 'Best Actor in a mini series or motion picture made for TV' and Chiwetel Ejiofor who was nominated at the Golden Globes, USA for Best Performance by an Actor in a mini series or Motion Picture made for TV.
Roden said "it was particularly satisfying to work again with Pete as his enthusiasm for the his projects is infectious as we discovered on Vantage Point." Paterson agreed and added "this was a particularly demanding mix as we were required to balance documentary evidence while building the suspense required in the cinematic representation of a real world event."
Both Roden and Paterson are delighted to be recognised by CAS members who are active individuals within the industry.
