ENVY SCORES A HAT TRICK!
Envy is proud to have won the award for Best Post Production House 2010.
It was a great honour receiving this award at the Grosvenor House Hotel.
To have been recognised by the Broadcast judges is without doubt the highest accolade you can hope to achieve. We are also incredibly proud of winning this award for the third year running. Thank you to all our loyal clients and our dedicated staff for making this happen!
Broadcast comments:
Still a relative newcomer, Envy has already won the award for best post house twice since it burst onto the post-production scene in 2006.
This year, the judges had little hesitation in making it three in a row for the company, which presented an entry that was hard to fault, topped off with a showreel that was the best by a country mile, demonstrating credits from Derren Brown to Shooting Stars to The Queen.
One of the few post-production businesses that appears to be flourishing in the recession, an investment of £2.3m in the company has been matched by a far-sighted focus on the next generation of post-production talent.
Initiatives such as the Envy Academy, which offers work-experience placements to students who demonstrate a strong interest in the industry, were praised by the judges.
Better still, it's an initiative that clearly works. Last year, 15 students were employed by Envy after impressing on the placements. Another area where Envy scores highly is retaining talent, with stability and loyalty encouraged by giving many employees ownership in the business.
The company's USP is simple: to meet the clients' demands without compromise. Clients are looking for top-quality service with creative, enthusiastic staff and the best technology, and that's what Envy manages to deliver.
Henry Singer, director of the award-winning doc 9/11: The Falling Man, says: "As far as I'm concerned, Envy is the best post house in London. I feel that my collaborators there care as much about my film as I do".
