SEQUENCE POST CREATE TITLES 'BARCLAYCARD WORLD FREERUN CHAMPIONSHIPS'

Brief: Sequence Post has just wrapped the opening titles for North One Television's 'Barclaycard World Freerun Championships', to be aired this Saturday 15th at 7pm on BBC3.

The brief was to create a raw opening sequence showing real-life freerunning stunts in Trafalgar Square. Shot on RED by the Sequence post REDFLOW team, the piece featured Paul 'Blue Devil' Joseph and was shot in the small hours at first light. Directed by Ben Foakes and Mike Fisher and shot by Paul O'Callaghan , the film was entirely posted using Final Cut Studio 3 and sound mixed at Pinewood Studios for HD & 5.1 surround sound delivery by Richard Pryke. Sequence artist: Ian Grech (2009 post-production Hot Shot nominee) completed the grade using Apple's latest incarnation of Color software, linking directly to the R3D Red files.

Foakes said: "We had a great time making these, apart from the hideous call time!! Following on from RED projects earlier this year, we chose the format to allow us to obtain that edgy, progressive film look and get great depth of field with the Ultra Prime lenses. We've got the FCS workflow completely slick now and are in fact using it to work on full feature films at our Pinewood setup. It's quite exciting at the moment, being able to produce such attractive images on lower budgets."
